Dressing Isabella Rossellini was challenging because I had to work with her “remotely” as she remained at her “Mama” Farm in California during shooting. I measured and created her designs and couriered them to her and then was overjoyed when we spoke that she was elated with the work I had presented her with.
The Rabbit Hunters is a short film made in honour of Fredric Fellini’s centenary, directed by Guy Maddin. I intended to draw on some of Fellini’s varied characters with a sense of whimsical absurdity while portraying a dreamlike event. I won best costume design from the Canadian Alliance of film and television Costume Arts and Design for this project.
